🚨We’ve talked with our teens…👇🏼🚨

We’ve talked with our like-minded friends with teens.

We’ve talked with elders who have adult kids now.

Whether your kids want to go to church or not….

Force them. 👊🏼

✔️ You’re not going to make someone hate church. God is more powerful than you.

✔️ If someone says church messed them up cuz all it did was make them feel guilty, then it’s going to be great for them to learn their sin and God’s Grace. (Which comes from hearing the Word of God)

✔️ If they say it’s not fun, you say there’s a lot of things that aren’t fun in life but they’re good for you. As your heart is humbled, mourned, and regenerated, oh how the ‘boring’ things become fun! 💯

✔️ If you think that when they’re older they’ll finally make a choice to go, they’re going to say well it wasn’t that important for my parents to force me so why should I force myself now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A common thing we see in the church is husbands pushing back the same way kids do. Same rules apply. Force them. 😜

Lest we never forget, it starts with us.🔥

I used to think it was better to not force kids to go to church…

But that’s because I wasn’t understanding the importance of forcing myself yet.

The flesh is weak but the Spirit is strong.

Oh, there was a time when I said I can do this on my own. Yup, I actually would tell Amber, “you go to church. I don’t need it.” This was far into my walk y’all, not at the beginning! Shame on me. I should have known better.

I used to say that people pushed me away. In my luke-warmness, thankfully God called me out. You need a church body. The body encourages, holds accountable, refines, and grows. Jesus would have never established the church and called it His bride if he didn’t care about it and establish our need for it. (Ephesians 5, Revelation 19)

Church is about you worshipping the Lord. People may disappoint. He never does. When He truly brings you to church, people can’t push you out.

Teens don’t understand that yet (they also don’t like diddly squat)…

Just like we force them to eat healthy…

To stay committed to the gym and sports…

To not give up in school…

We force them to church.

It’s just my opinion. But church is the last place we should neglect right now.🤯

There’s a lot of things that have changed my mind over the years. READ MORE HERE.
