I preach 7.5 -8 hrs of sleep for optimal health and living.

Despite what you may believe about not needing a lot of sleep, you can’t deny the abundance of research on this topic. If you don’t sleep enough and well enough, you’re just getting by.

It is true that quality sleep is much more important than quantity. It’s also true that quality sleep has more of an impact on your energy, recovery, and body composition than nutrition.

Even if you do everything right like turn off technology 90 minutes before bed, keep your temperature cool at night around 68 degrees, and exert a lot of physical energy during the day so you look forward to hitting that mattress at night, sometimes you need some supps to help maximize those zzzzzz’s.

Here’s what I take. Again, I can’t recommend taking anything. All I can do is tell you what I do. You’ll have to do the research for yourself since everyBODY is different.

Magnesium

Magnesium has been a game changer. Without dumping research on you, supposedly 80% of Americans are deficient in magnesium. Mainly, our soil is being destroyed by big Agricultural companies and mass farming, and thus not producing quality crops with high levels of this natural occurring mineral.

Low Magnesium levels are also linked to depression.

This is the type I take: CalMag Calm. It’s a powder form. Mixed with calcium and vitamin C for better absorption. I only take max 400mg daily.

Clean Remedies CBD Oil

CBD oil has been the BIGGEST game changer. In the ten years of doing business we have never endorsed any supplements at our gym, until we found this! We personally sell Clean Remedies CBD products because we believe in them so much.

Talk about quality sleep. I only take the 900 every night before bed and my sleep is so deep and restful. I could talk about it all day, but here’s a podcast we did with our friends and owners on it.

If you’re local and want some you can purchase directly from us at FMU Fitness.

Sleep and recovery enhances your fitness and health more than anything else. Don’t neglect it. There’s a lot you can do to maximize it. These two supplements Mag and CBD help tremendously.
